It is with deep sadness that we mark the passing of anesthesiologist/intensivist and burn specialist Dr. Jean-Philippe Fauville, who passed away unexpectedly on 30 May 2026 at the age of 63.
Dr. Fauville, former Head of the Burn Centre in Charleroi, was widely respected for his expertise and dedication. He was currently working at the Burn Centre of the Military Hospital in Brussels and in Liège. He was also a valued member of the European burns’ community.
He served on the Executive Committee of the European Burns Association from 2003 to 2013, including as Treasurer from 2009, contributing with commitment and integrity. He was also an active member of the Disaster Committee.
He will be remembered for his professionalism, dedication, and collegial spirit.
