‘Best wishes from the Petri dishes’ – cell therapy for burn treatment
In this webinar, the European Skin Engineering Network (ESEN), an initiative of the European Burn Association supported by EU funding through the ESENBURN project, will present the clinical results of cell-based therapies for severe burns in Europe. Various European centers will report on their use of different products.
The second part of the webinar will introduce an interesting group from the University of Granada in Spain/Andalusia, who have been running a tissue engineering network for over 10 years. In collaboration with the Burn Centre in Seville, the network has treated over 20 patients with two-layer complex autologous skin substitutes. Álvaro Meana, a pioneer of skin tissue engineering in Spain, will introduce the second part.
